Memorial Weekend

Our Memorial weekend was kicked off by taking Noodles to the vet to check on his sprained front leg. Even with pain meds all week, it wasn't getting any better. Two hours later, a shot, meds and $200 later we were heading back home. (I'm happy to say he is feeling much better now!) Jason had his first St. John softball games that night in which they won one and lost the other. (I'll try to take some pics throughout the season.)

Saturday....

WE PICKED UP MY NEW MINIVAN!!! Never thought I'd be excited about getting a van, but look how cool it is and how cool it makes me look ;)

Jason and I went dancing Saturday night and had a BLAST!!! I think we laughed most of the weekend and just truly enjoyed ourselves which was wonderful! Happy to say that after all these years of being off the team and taking some time off due to my foot problems and hospital visits, we can still dance!
Lots of house chores (inside and out) were done along with relaxing and such. We thoroughly enjoyed our patio. backyard and grill which was a great plus b/4 the Houston summer heat/humidity gets even worse! Monday afternoon I tried my hand at lacrosse and after a couple of minutes of practice, I think I'm ready for the pros... well... maybe...!

Our 'action' shots ;)

Time with Cathie!!!

Last week I got to have lunch with my dear friend Cathie!! I haven't seen her in over 3 years since we left College Station and her and her husband moved to Abilene. Although we talk 'often', I miss our time together so much. I miss our coffee time or lunches and our Bible studies we would do together. It is a woman like Cathie that one can feel so comfortable with, loved and respected. She is a friend who you end up hoping you can be half as good of a friend as she is. Some people come into our lives for only a short time and then there are others who are true blessings you pray time and distance never gets in the way. Cathie is this friend to me. I cherish our time we get to share, encourage and pray together. Thank you Cathie for taking the time to visit with me while in Houston (and sorry I confused Chili's with Applebee's!!)!!!
